Give to the new Ntengwe Community Resilience Fund to support our community as we rebuild and recover from COVID-19

FUNDING A BETTER FUTURE: THE NTENGWE COMMUNITY RESILIENCE FUND

Supporting an equitable, long-term recovery

Launched in 2020, The Ntengwe Community Resilience Fund will help organize our most marginalized and vulnerable communities around a regenerative economic reset.

The Community Resilience Fund is dedicated to supporting grassroots communities, particularly grassroots women, people with disabilities, children and other socially marginalized groups.  It enables us to serve vulnerable communities who are disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 and climate change.

Through a combination of targeted and sector-wide initiatives, the Fund is helping grassroots women social innovators and entrepreneurs respond from the challenges of COVID-19, support their recovery and galvanize our collective efforts to reimagine what a better world will look like on the other side. Here’s how….

WHAT WILL NTENGWE COMMUNITY RESILIENCE FUND DONATION SUPPORT?

Contribute directly to grassroots women groups:  We empower grassroots women that are particularly vulnerable to disasters, channelling resources directly to those who are living in risk prone poor communities to unlock the potential for their small businesses to grow.

Help women-lead social enterprises retool and adapt: We facilitate training and support they need which then provides them with a sustainable income that enables their children to grow up with improved education, nutrition, health and shelter, giving them the foundation to build a better future for tomorrow.

Build awareness of what’s possible through the Next Economy Conversations: We empower grassroots women leaders to strengthen their community development practices through local-to-local dialogues with change-makers who are paving the way towards a sustainable, equitable, and prosperous economy.

Launch the Common Platform, starting with the Community Resilience Dialogues: COVID-19 has brought an incredible need and opportunity for us to align for action across our region to catalyse the community resilience and systems change. Grassroots women leaders conduct community practitioner platforms which is designed to facilitate collaboration with key stakeholders.

Develop comprehensive systemic responses to the social and economic impacts of COVID-19 and Climate Change through collaborations: We are working together to fulfil our mission to encourage community-led development in support of economic, climate and social justice to end poverty by helping to unleash the power and potential of our communities to transform policies at local and national level. Our community is influenced by the social movement based on peer learning, shared advocacy, and mutual capacity building.

WE ARE IN THIS TOGETHER. WE NEED EACH OTHER.

Above all, the Ntengwe Community Resilience Fund is about people helping people to get through this, together, sowing the seeds for fundamental, transformative changes. It’s about acting with courage, humanity and care, as we address challenging issues, develop solutions and take responsibility for our collective future.

No one knows how this story will end. Time will tell and history will be our judge. But we want to be sure we create a positive chapter.

Let’s make sure this moment doesn’t pass… donate today.
